Tenant App

Discover how to use a tenant app to streamline communication, payments, and maintenance requests with your landlord effortlessly.

Tenant App brings vRops performance metrics to tenants in a vCD environment. Each tenant can only see metrics data relevant to their organization.

It enables tenants to have complete visibility of the performance metrics of their environment but only their environment. If the customer applications are not performing as expected, tenants can use Tenant App for root cause analysis of performance issues and perform L1-L2 level of maintenance/troubleshooting tasks themselves without raising service tickets with service providers.

Technical Overview

VMware vCloud Director integrates with vRealize Operations (vROPs) via the vRealize Operations Manager Tenant App for vCloud Director (vCD). The app exposes vCD tenants to the features of vROPs so they — and their users — can leverage the performance metrics inherent in vROPs.

Once the Tenant App been added and data collected, it enables viewing of historical and real-time utilization metrics for the organizational data center (Org vDC), vApps, virtual machines (VMs), and associated networks. From the various dashboards, tenants can also view performance issues and perform root cause analysis and other troubleshooting tasks without escalating to the service provider.

The Tenant App can easily be accessed via the top navigation bar in Cloud Director

Enhancements

The Tenant App is competitively priced as a fraction of the amount of memory (GB) in the Resource Pool. It can be added by US Signal’s Technical Operations Center (TOC) to existing orders without paperwork to existing Resource Pools.

Dashboard

The Tenant App provides a picture of the overall health of your US Signal resource pool using detailed graphs displayed on the dashboard. Users can customize the “how to view” of the over 700 performance metrics available in the dashboard, such as edge gateway metrics, media metrics, and more.

Constructing the graph overlays is straightforward, and allows users to deep dive into time-stamped attributes for event analysis.
